EDGE OF IT ALL | Silas Thompson & Caleb Meyer

Gallery Wild Santa Fe is thrilled to present new works by Silas Thompson and Caleb Meyer. Their show, “Edge of it All” focuses on landscapes throughout the desert and mountain west. Both artists carry strong individual styles alongside work ethics that have propelled them within the western contemporary art industry.  Celebrated for his depictions of aspen trees and desert scenes, Silas Thompson’s use of bold colors and expressive mark making give each landscape painting the vibrancy of the wild outdoors. His exploration of the Southwest and its unique features show how his curiosity of seasonal changes to land and light transform the familiar into new, exciting realms of nature.  Caleb Meyer’s work captures the vastness of the west with expansive, picturesque skies and classic silhouettes from mesas to mountain tops. His impasto technique enhances the depth in billowing clouds and intensifies the texture in rock formations. Keeping a low horizon line, the grandeur of his landscapes provoke a sense of adventure and wonderment.  Join us for an artist reception on Friday, October 11th from 5-7:00 pm to celebrate “Edge of it All.” Stop by the gallery to enjoy light refreshments and meet Silas Thompson and Caleb Meyer in person!  “Edge of it All” show will be on display from Oct 11 - 24.
