Whether you’re traveling with your furry friend as a companion for some serious shopping or an epic outdoor adventure, there are plenty of places in Santa Fe you can visit with them by your side. Warmer weather is just around the corner, and we can't wait to be outside at our local haunts. Here’s just a small list of pet friendly places in Santa Fe where you and Fido will be welcomed with open arms.

LOCAL TIP : Santa Fe has an amazing Farmers’s Market at The Railyard, but unfortunately it’s not on the list of pet friendly places in the city. Even though Doggo can’t go, it’s certainly worth checking out!

* If not listed below, we always recommend calling ahead to make sure a location is dog friendly, or asking before you enter an establishment.

RESTAURANTS AND BARS

Santa Fe has a number of restaurants, bars and breweries with outdoor patios or spaces that allow dogs. We love to grab a drink and/or food at these local spots:

• Santa Fe Brewing, The Beer Hall at HQ - Outdoor Space (pictured)
Cowgirl BBQ - Patio

• Nuckolls Brewing - Deck & Outdoor Space

• Ahmayo Wine Garden - Patio (Off Canyon Rd)

• Restaurant Martín - Patio

• Joe's Tequila Bar - Patio (Next to Canyon Rd)

GALLERIES AND SHOPS

While most places around Santa Fe allow your pup to accompany you, it's always nice to ask before walking into a shop or gallery. If you're on Canyon Road, definitely stop into Gallery Wild! We always have a little something special for your four legged friends. Plus, we love giving out pets! Take a trip with your pup to some of these great places:

Back at the Ranch - Downtown Plaza

• Passementrie - Downtown Plaza

• Teca Tu - Local Pet Store, NM Made Products

• Gallery Wild - Canyon Road - Come say, "Hi!" (pictured)

• Pop Gallery - Downtown Plaza

• Owen Contemporary - Canyon Road

PARKS AND TRAILS

Santa Fe boasts 77 developed parks, 26 undeveloped parks, and 170 miles of trails. Depending on individual park and trail rules, there are a ton of places your pup can be on or off-leash, but all require you to pick up after your pooch. Always make sure you have a leash, waste bags, and plenty of water on hand. Here are a few places we take our furry friends to play:

• Frank S. Ortiz Dog Park - off-leash (pictured)

Fort Marcy Dog Park - off-leash

• Sun Mountain Trail - leashed

• Santa Fe Baldy and Lake Katherine Loop - off-leash in some places
