SKI SANTA FE 

Just up the road from the city of Santa Fe, this is one of the most convenient mountains in New Mexico. It takes only 45 minutes to drive down from the base into town to grab a fabulous meal at one of Santa Fe’s many restaurants after a day of hitting the slopes. The mountain has a wide range of terrain perfect for all experience levels, and a number of lifts to access runs that open up as the snow builds through the season. Typically clear skies allow you to get an amazing view of the city below while cruising through mixed terrain and enjoying the sun.

ANGEL FIRE

If you are looking to ski under the enchanting sunsets of the Rockies, Angel Fire offers New Mexico’s only regularly available night skiing, and over 80 runs to explore. The terrain is accessible for all skill levels and has a hill for sledding, making it the perfect choice for families and folks that want a range of activities to enjoy. A couple hours north of Santa Fe, this mountain is great for those who want to spend the weekend and get away from the city for a bit.

TAOS SKI VALLEY

For experienced skiers this is one of the top resorts in the state, and even coveted beyond the southwest. With the base at 9,200 feet elevation, Taos is New Mexico’s largest ski resort and offers over 1,200 acres of skiable land.  With lots of challenging runs and steep slopes, Taos ski valley will give you a workout with the best views of your life. RED RIVER SKI AREA

Red River is a charming village ski area located along the Enchanted Circle scenic byway in northern New Mexico, just north of Taos, and has been a family run business for 60 years. With over 67 runs this mountain provides a small town feel with a great variety of terrain to explore, and no waiting in long lines to get on the lift.

A bit farther south you'll find Sandia Peak Ski Area, just 35 minutes outside Albuquerque. You can experience the majesty of the Sandia mountains while spending the day coasting over the snow. It was the first ever ski resort in New Mexico, established in 1936! With 4 lifts and 300 skiiable acres of terrain, this is a perfect location for a family ski day!
